艾丽丝.沃克是当代美国文坛杰出的黑人女作家,其作品充分显示了她对妇女整体解放的理解和关注。本文以沃克的代表作《紫色》中很少关注的黑人男性为切入点,分析了他们性格形成的社会根源,展示了他们成长转变的过程。在此基础上揭示她所宣扬的妇女主义,即妇女解放观念不是狭隘的,妇女解放也意味着男性思想的解放,乃至全人类的解放。
Alice Walker is an outstanding black woman writer in the contemporary American literary world. His works fully demonstrate her understanding and concern about the overall liberation of women. This paper analyzes the social roots of their character formation and demonstrates the process of their growth and transformation from the black men who rarely pay much attention to Walker ’s “purple”. On the basis of this, she reveals that women’s advocacy of herism, that is, the concept of women’s liberation is not narrow, and the liberation of women also means the liberation of male ideology and even the liberation of mankind.
