我校化学系余席茂、曾云鹗、蔡汝秀、曾胜年、梁汉琼与大冶钢厂协作,研制出目前国内外文献尚无报道的一种偶氮胂型铈组稀土显色剂及用此显色剂测定铈组稀土的直接光度法。该显色剂比国内外先进同类显色剂的灵敏度高,故其测定下限好;其选择性在多种常见干扰元素允许量方面,是国内外先进的同类显色剂的几倍至几百倍,故其应用范围广,如其可直接测定高合金钢和高温合金中的铈组稀土,而其他显色剂则不能直接测定。该直接光度法简便、快速、精确度高。该显色剂先后供给冶金、地质、农业等部门20多个单位应用,已广泛用于低、中、高合
