藁城市于1991年承担了农业部下达的“50万亩夏玉米高产栽培技术”丰收计划项目。通过实施,1992年全市49.9万亩夏玉米平均亩产达到620公斤,比项目实施前三年的平均单产增加199公斤,增产率高达47.27%,累计增产10172万公斤。建成了我国小麦、玉米成熟区面积最大的“吨粮市”。并获得农业部丰收计划二等奖。现将其内容简述如下:
