不久前,在学生与教师中进行了一项有关“What’s your oplnion of a good language teacher?”的问卷调查。结果令人诧异:居于学生问卷榜首的几条标准与教师自身看重的衡量标准大相径庭。学生大都非常看重教师是否友好;是否善于与学生打交道;在交谈中是否征求学生的意见;师生之间是否相互信任。其次才是讲解条理清晰等教师向来注重的项目。这一调查结果令我联想到心理学家Charles Curran提出的SARD理论(S代表Securlty“安全感”;A代表Attentlon“注意力”及Aggression “进取心”;R代表Reflection“反思”;D则代表Discrlmination“辨微”)。这一理论涉及了语言学习中的心理问题,并倡导五项理论的核心点应该是S,即强调教师必须学会使学习者能够产生安全感的教学技能。因此,我们在这期校本研修栏目中特别选取了两篇从心理学的角度来促进英语教学的文章,以供教师交流与参考。
Not long ago, a questionnaire survey on “What’s your opinion of a good language teacher?” was conducted among students and teachers. The results were astounding: Several criteria that ranked at the top of student questionnaires were very different from those that teachers themselves valued. Most of the students value whether the teachers are friendly; whether they are good at dealing with students; whether they seek the opinions of students in the conversation; and whether teachers and students trust each other. The second is to explain the projects that teachers have always paid attention to. The results of this investigation reminded me of the SARD theory proposed by the psychologist Charles Curran (S stands for Securlty’s “security”; A stands for Attentlon’s “attention” and Aggression “enterprising mind”; R stands for Reflection “reflection”; D stands for “Discrimination”. This theory involves the psychological problems in language learning, and advocates that the core of the five theories should be S, which emphasizes that teachers must learn to enable learners to produce safe teaching skills. Therefore, we have specially selected two articles from the perspective of psychology to promote English teaching in this school-based research section for teachers’ exchange and reference.
