1.Sir≠Mr:两者均用来称呼成年男子,但前者单独使用,后者必须与姓氏连用。比较:①May I ask you a question,sir?先生,我可以问你一个问题吗?②Good morning,Mr Green!格林先生,早上好! 2.class,family等名词作主语时,若是强调整体谓语动词用单数,若是强调个体谓语动词用复数。比较:①Our class is a big one。我们班是个大班。②Our class are all here.我们全班人都在这里。3.week,term等时间名词前有this,that,next等限定词时,习惯上不再用in等介词。例:Please come here next week.请下周到这里来。4.all与not连用时表示的是部分否定,意指“不都”,并非指全部否定“都不”。例:I don’t know all your names.我并不全部知道你们所有人的名字。

Example: Please come here next week. Please come here next week. 4. When used in conjunction with not, all is partial negation, meaning “not all”, not all negative “no”. Example: I don’t know all your names. I don’t know all of your names.
