我国甘青宁地区是高原农牧文化和中原旱地文化的交叉地带,又有藏传佛教和伊斯兰教两大宗教文化的长期并存,各民族间长期以来的文化交流与碰撞造就了多元而独特的地域文化,并孕育了丰富多彩的文学创作。新时期甘青宁文学在民族、国家和世界的三位一体格局中既受到了国家一体性、知识全球化的规约和影响,又始终立足于民族民间文化,因此该地域文学不仅丰富了当代汉语文学书写的经验,而且具有民族学、人类学等特殊价值。
