反应式装甲自1974年以色列拉菲尔军械局开始研究至1982年实战应用试验,逐渐被各国所重视,美国、苏联也相继研制出了各自的反应式装甲。迄今为止,反应式装甲一般都用于主战坦克。然而只有美国已将其应用于轻型装甲车辆——机械化步兵战车和装甲战车。图1是安装在布雷德利M2型机械化步兵战车或M3型骑兵战车上的反应装甲块。炮塔、车体两侧和车体前斜甲板上均安装了反应式装甲。轻型车辆上使用反应装甲,其防护性能要比在主战坦克上使用获得更大的改善。
Reactive armor Since 1974, Israel’s Raffaele Arsenal began to study the practical application test in 1982, gradually by all countries attention, the United States, the Soviet Union have also developed their own reactive armor. To date, reactive armor is generally used in main battle tanks. However, only the United States has applied it to light armored vehicles - mechanized infantry fighting vehicles and armored combat vehicles. Figure 1 shows the reaction armored block mounted on a Bradley M2 Militia Infantry or M3 Cavalry. Turret, both sides of the body and the body before the ramp deck were installed reactive armor. Reactor armor is used on light vehicles and offers greater protection than the main battle tank.
