The “new method for on-site determination and damping of ground-based bed coefficient” completed by Associate Professor Li Yie of Zhejiang University’s Department of Civil Engineering was awarded the National Prize for the Third Prize for Invention in 1991. Professor Li Yi’e began research in fundamental anti-vibration in the 1960s. He accumulated a large amount of measured test data and experience, solved many problems of vibration elimination, and conducted in-depth theoretical research. In the early 1980s, he first proposed the “inflection point method” to measure the foundation bed system.
