1992年,周光绍作出了人生转折性的决定,毅然辞掉政府机关的工作,与台湾回来的亲戚共同开办公司。在经商的过程中,周光绍发现了自己在经营商用物业上的兴趣与专长。后进入广州信和集团,得到了一个更大的发展平台。他自言,在这个平台,他接触到了大量不同的行业。而且有机会亲自经营过百货饮食等零售行业,令他清楚地知道这些行业的风险,从而在开发项目时能够为客户避免这些风险。这些宝贵的经历和经验成为日后他在商用物业经营上取得成功的重要因素。
