苏州狮子林有一“听香”的匾额,不太引人注意,其中所包含的意义倒值得注意。前人有所谓“山气花香无著处,今朝来向画中听”的诗句,也说到“听香”。在中国古代的文人中,以“听香”名其斋阁者甚多。“香”何以能“听”呢?其实在中国艺术中,有个有形的世界,还有个无形的世界,有形的世界是表面的,外在的,无形的世界虽不可见,但又是最重要的。中国艺术强调有形但为无形造,有形的世界只是走向无形世界的一个引子,一个契机。
