September 23-26, 2001 The 20th IALL Assembly was held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The theme of the conference was “Comparative Laws and International Laws in Multilingualism: Current Issues and Information Resources.” The host country for the conference is Switzerland, which uses the four official languages. After a brief speech by Prof. Betil cottier, Deputy Director of the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, the conference officially began.
