从香蕉出现花叶病斑,叶鞘腐烂,内部坏死到植株死亡,从中分离的病毒鉴定为黄瓜花叶病毒(cucumber mosaic virus—CMV)(编码程式CMV:R/1:1/18:S/S:S/Ap.).我们根据病毒在植株的传递、寄主范围、物理性状及血清反应.棉蚜虫(Aphis gossypii)用口针把病毒从香蕉传播到试验植物,不再传回香蕉.60~70℃、稀释度10~(-3),病毒不活动.27~30℃条件,病毒能存活92小时.病毒寄主范围广泛,能感染试验用寄主植物苋科(Amaranthaceae),藜科(Chenopodiaceae),菊科(Compositae),葫芦科(Cucurbitaceae),豆科(Leguminosae)和茄科(Solanaceae)等49种中的28种,但是,禾本科(Gramineae),唇形科(Labiatae),椴科(Malvaceae)和锦葵科(Tiliaceae)不是寄主.
