For the first time, Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics answered a series of basic questions about what is socialism and how to build socialism and how to consolidate and develop socialism in a country where economy and culture are relatively backward. This scientific theory has far-reaching strategic significance and important realities for further unifying the thinking of the people of all nationalities in the country, strengthening our faith in socialism, implementing the party’s basic line in an active, comprehensive and correct manner, and accelerating the pace of reform and opening up and the modernization drive
