In order to explore the relationship between distribution of nutrient elements and anti-thrips of alfalfa, we studied the effects of anti-thrips R-1 and I-1 on the mortality of alfalfa roots under different population pressures of Odontothrips loti , Stems, leaves N, P, K and Ca content changes. The results showed that with the increase of population density: (1) The contents of N in R-1 and I-1 stems increased significantly, and the content of N in leaves decreased significantly (P <0.05) Decreased, the content of N in I-1 root decreased first and then increased. (2) The content of P in R-1 stem increased first and then decreased, but the change in I-1 stem was not significant. The content of P in R-1 leaf continuously increased under the low population pressure, -1 P content in leaves decreased significantly; P content in roots of R-1 and I-1 were significantly higher than that of the control (P <0.05). (3) The contents of K in stems and leaves of R-1 and I-1 firstly increased and then decreased, while the contents of K in R-1 and I-1 decreased significantly (P <0.05). (4) The contents of Ca in stems and leaves of R-1 were significantly increased (P <0.05). The content of Ca in I-1 stems decreased first and then increased, and the content of Ca in leaves was significantly lower than that in control , But no significant difference with the control at other densities. The content of Ca in R-1 root was not significantly different from that in control, and the content of Ca in I-1 root decreased significantly. The content of different nutrient elements of alfalfa was different after thrips damage, the damage index of R-1 was significantly lower than that of I-1 (P <0.01), and R-1 showed better insect resistance.
