中华人民共和国成立三十五年了。三十五年来,我们的伟大祖国发生了翻天覆地的变化,公路面貌也焕然一新。翻开新出版的全国公路图,我们可以看到,一条条公路线纵横交错,把祖国的首都和边疆、城市和乡村紧密地联系在一起。据1983年底统计,全国已有公路91.5万余公里,并有18万多公里铺上了沥青渣油路面。与1949年相比,公路里程增加十点五倍,高级、次高级路面里程增加近六百倍,成绩是很大的。 The People’s Republic of China was established 35 years ago.
