金逸作为袁枚“闺中三大知己”之一,其诗歌创作所呈现出的风貌也成为袁枚“性灵”理论的一块镜子。从随园弟子的角度看,她与袁枚的交往成为了她投身“性灵”的原因;而从闺阁写作来看,她的创作又始终体现着女性的细腻柔婉。她的身世既平稳又坎坷,天生的聪慧与短暂的生命始终构成一对矛盾。在对她的研究中,乾嘉时期闺阁写作的个性与风貌也随之显现。
