上世纪90年代初,我国逐渐意识到整个交通路网的布局、规模都远远不能满足社会经济的发展。自那时起,我国开始初步探索发展高速铁路,并在10年间取得举世瞩目的成就。上世纪90年代初,前进在经济发展快车道上的中国逐渐意识到轨道交通运输正成为国民经济发展的瓶颈:不仅是速度,整个交通路网的布局、规模,都远远不能满足社会经济的发展。自那时起,中国开始初步探索发展高速铁路。关于轮轨技术和磁悬浮技术选择的讨论也是始于这个时期。
In the early 90s of last century, our country came to realize that the layout and scale of the entire traffic network are far from satisfying the social and economic development. Since then, our country has started to initially explore the development of high-speed railways and has made remarkable achievements in 10 years.
