1990~1992年连续3年观察了蒲桃的花等生物学特性。结果表明:蒲桃一年中可多次开花,其中春花量最大,始花于2月中、下旬,5月份为盛花期,6月底为春花末期。7月至12月每月之中均可以观察到少量的新开放的花。还观察了枝叶、根系和果实的年周期生长发育动态,并把它们绘入一张简图,以期作为制订栽培管理措施的参考依据。初步以蒲桃鲜花窨制茶叶(一窨一提,茶坯为烘青绿茶),试制出的花茶为果香型。滋味醇和有甜感,汤色黄绿明亮。暂命名为“蒲桃花茶”。
From 1990 to 1992, the biological characteristics of Rose apple were observed for three years in a row. The results showed that: Rose apple can bloom many times a year, of which the largest amount of spring flowers, beginning in mid-February, late May, flowering in May, the end of June for the late spring. A small amount of newly opened flowers can be observed from July to December each month.
