He is one of the most famous military historians and naval strategic theorists. He was a strategic designer and spiritual mentor influencing the development of the United States Navy and overseas expansion of the United States. His monograph “The Impact of Sea Power on History, 1660 ~ 1783 ”has a profound impact on the maritime strategy of all countries. However, the naval strategic theorist also has his troubles.
