高原地区的大气压力、空气密度以及空气中氧气绝对含量都随海拔升高而显著减小,致使汽车动力性能下降。按标准状况设计和调整的汽车化油器,不能很好满足高原地区的使用要求而油耗过高。试验和计算表明:海拔每升高1000米,发动机功率下降11~13%,比油耗增加8~10%(表1),由于燃烧不完全,汽油不但造成浪费,而且污染大气。过浓的混合气还会引起燃烧室内火焰传播速度降低、热工参数变坏而使发动机功率进一步下降。
Atmospheric pressure in the plateau, air density and absolute oxygen content in the air are significantly reduced with increasing altitude, resulting in decreased vehicle power performance. Car carburetor designed and adjusted according to standard conditions can not meet the requirements of high altitude areas and fuel consumption is too high. Experiments and calculations show that for every 1000 m above sea level elevation, the engine power is reduced by 11-13% and the fuel consumption is increased by 8-10% (Table 1). As the combustion is not complete, the gasoline not only causes waste but also pollutes the atmosphere. Excessive mixture will also cause the combustion chamber flame propagation velocity decreases, the thermal parameters become worse and the engine power to further decline.
