The thermoelectric conversion technology utilizes the Seebeck effect and the Peltier effect of the semiconductor material to realize the direct conversion between thermal energy and electric energy and is an effective way to clean and utilize the energy. The fast ion conductor is generally used in the battery Materials. In this paper, the recent progress in the research of high performance thermoelectric materials using the basic characteristics of fast ion conductors is discussed in this paper. Two sets of sub-lattice structures of fast ion conductors are described in detail to optimize the electric heat transfer characteristics of the materials. The new concept of “phonon liquid ” is proposed for the “shear wave damping effect” of thermoelectric materials, providing new ideas and directions for the performance optimization of thermoelectric materials and the exploration of new thermoelectric compounds.
