通识教育是20世纪40年代哈佛大学主要针对当时的美国过于倾向于“实用主义”的教育而提出,主要内容是人文素质教育、创新教育、道德情感和价值观教育,主张人文教育应面向全体学生并培养全面发展的个体。文章指出,高校公共艺术教育作为通识教育的重要组成部分和实施途径,应在通识教育理念和创新思维的指导下,重新审视当前教育中的弊端和不足,以“全人教育”“博雅教育”为目标转变观念,改进教学和发展模式,促进学生的全面发展,营造良好的育人大环境,提升校园文化内涵和品位。
General education was proposed by Harvard University in the 1940s mainly for the United States that was overly inclined to “pragmatism” at that time. Its main content was education of humanistic quality, innovation education, moral emotion and values education, and advocated that humanities education should face All students and develop all-round development of the individual. The article points out that public art education in colleges and universities, as an important part of general education and its implementation, should reexamine the shortcomings and deficiencies in current education under the guidance of general education ideas and innovative thinking. “Liberal education ” as the goal change concepts, improve teaching and development model, promote the all-round development of students, to create a good environment for educating people, enhance the campus culture and taste.
