Brighter Is The Hometown's Moon-the 2010 China Zhen-jiang Mid-Autumn Festival Gala.-was held in the evening of Sept. 22 atthe city's Beiguwan Square. Over athousand well-known personages ofZhenjiang origin from home andbroad, including compatriots fromHong Kong, Macao and Taiwan re-gions shared their homecoming feel-ings with locals under a bright moon.A highlight of the gala party was astory about an old Chinese laborer re-siding in France that deeply touchedeveryone present. This legendary fig-ure whose life spanned three cen-turies was Tchou Kouei Cheng, whobuilt a bridge of friendship betweenZhenjiang and the French city of LaRochelle.
