肖像最早出现于文艺复兴时期,那时的人们冲破了中世纪禁欲宗教的统治,自我意识获得了新生,强调个性的尊严,重视世俗名声,绘画中于是出现了探索人性现实的趋势,肖像画应运而生。从此,艺术史上留下了数不胜数的各类肖像。无论杰出的或是平庸的,正如它们都可被称为肖像一样,它们的共同点是显而易见的,那就是:画作都肖似真人之像,都离不开真实地再现客观自然。然而,我们用什么标准来区别它们呢?我们如何能判断出究竟哪些画作是更有艺术性的呢?
Portraits first appeared in the Renaissance, when people broke through the religious rule of abstinence in the Middle Ages, self-awareness gained a new life, emphasizing the dignity of personality, emphasis on secular fame, the painting then appeared the trend of exploring human reality, portraits came into being . Since then, the history of art has left numerous portraits. Whether they are outstanding or mediocre, just as they are all portraits, their common denominator is obvious: all the paintings resemble real human beings without the true reproduction of objective naturalness. However, what criteria do we use to distinguish them? How can we judge which paintings are more artistic?
