1962年,在“北京墨水”的生产成本中,包装费用比其他费用大3倍。降低成本,大头是降低包装材料的成本。当年春天,厂长提出:每件包装材料降低一厘钱。这个提议在全厂职工大会上正式提出并获得通过,于是全厂行动起来了。管瓶盖的供应人员,把11个制造瓶盖的工厂的代表请来,把所有瓶盖摆出来,比质量、称重量、算成本、评美观。逐项比较,精密计算,取长补短。每个瓶盖少花了4厘多钱,当年就节约了10万元。
