Aim To study the regulative function of the living preparation of Bifidobacterium on mouse intestinal flora in vivo. Methods 40 BALB/C mice(male, 18~22g) were randomly divided into 4 groups, 3 experimental groups and 1 control group. These 3 experimental groups were fed different dose of the living preparation of Bifidobacterium by gavage for 7 days. Feces of mice were determined before and at the end of the experiment. Results The results showed that the reproduction of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus significantly increased with the increasing of Bifidobacterium dose. Comparing with before treatment, numbers of enterococcus in 3 experimental groups haven抰 obviously changed at the end of experiment, but numbers of Enterobacter obviously increased. And the increasing range of Enterobacter was lower than those of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. Conclusions: The living preparation of Bifidobacterium could regulate the intestinal flora, reproduce Bifidobacterium and lactobacillus , and inhibit spoilage bacteria.
