Oxygen is a necessary factor for the metabolism and survival of the body. In some physiological or pathophysiological conditions, global or local hypoxia can cause a series of adaptive reactions in the body, such as erythropoietin (EPO), vascular endothelial cell growth Synthesis and secretion of vascular endothelium growth factor (VEGF), synthesis of glycolytic pathway enzymes and so on. These responses are associated with the hypoxia2inducible actor-1 (HIF-1), a protein produced by hypoxia-induced cells that regulates the transcription and expression of a range of genes to maintain the body’s normal metabolism and function .
