Objective To detect the level of serum adiponectin in patients with Metabolic Syndrome (MS) and to analyze the influencing factors of adipocytokines. Methods 246 patients with MS were selected as the case group. 250 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. The body measurements and blood biochemical parameters were measured in two groups. The HOMA-IR was calculated by the steady-state model assessment. Elisa Methods The levels of serum APN, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were measured. Results The levels of BMI, FPG, FIN, TC, TG, LDL-C, SBP, DBP, HOMA-IR, TNF-α and IL-6 in MS group were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.05). The results of multivariate regression analysis showed that the serum levels of APN in patients with MS were significantly lower than those in patients with TG (β = -0.272, t = -2.080), TNF-α ) And IL-6 (β = -0.293, t = -3.583). The levels of TNF-α were positively correlated with those of FPG (β = 0.011, t = 2.381), BMI (P = 0.473, t = 8.901) and APN (β = -0.436, t = -8.042), while IL-6 levels were positively correlated with BMI ) And APN (β = -0.178, t = -3.583), the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion MS patients with serum adipokines interact with each other and are affected by many factors such as TG, BMI and FPG, leading to the abnormal expression of serum adipokines and their involvement in the development of MS.
