2015年12月21日,俄罗斯“联盟”2-1a型运载火箭在拜科努尔发射场发射了第一艘升级型“进步”MS系列货运飞船,即“进步”MS01。船上载有约2.6吨补给物资。这是“联盟”2-1a型火箭第三次用于发射进步号货运飞船,也是2015年4月28日“进步”M27M任务失败后该型火箭首次恢复进步号飞船发射。飞船两天后同国际空间站对接。
On December 21, 2015, Russia’s “Alliance” 2-1a launch vehicle launched its first upgraded “Progress” MS series cargo spacecraft at the Baikonur launch site, the “Progressive” MS01 . Ship loaded with about 2.6 tons of supplies. This is the third time the “Alliance” 2-1a rocket was launched for the Progressive Cargo spacecraft and the first such launch was resumed after the M27M mission “Progression” on April 28, 2015 failed. Spacecraft docking with the International Space Station two days later.
