芒果剪叶象Deporavs marginatvs(Pascoe)是我国芒果主要害虫之一.1989—1990年的研究表明,在南宁实验室条件下,一年可发生7代,第7代为局部世代,世代重叠.以预蛹在土中滞育越冬.每年5—6月份为第一为害高峰,每月有2—3代重叠,主害代为第三代;8—9月份为第二为害高峰,每月可有4代重叠,主害代为第五、六代.在南宁适温条件下,发生一代需要34—39天,而越冬代则长达136—223天.卵、幼虫、预蛹及蛹的历期(Y)与日平均温度(x)间的关系方程分别为:Ye=8.7614-0.2435x,Yi=1497.3/X~(1.75),Y_(pp+p)=22090.76/X~(2·254).
