由于塔里木盆地地表低速层覆盖厚,用常规的地震处理技术难以得到高品质的地震剖面.用以大地介质为粘弹性介质作前提,结合小波分析理论的地震波波动方程聚焦成像技术在塔北某区进行了2D地震资料的目标处理,得到了一套高分辨率、高信噪比和高保真的地震处理剖面.新剖面的品质较常规处理的剖面有明显改善.根据新剖面的地质解释得到了该区储油层———东河砂岩的分布规律,并据此首次从地震地层学角度提出了该储层的陆相沉积相问题.
