通过干旱河谷区基层林业工作者的访谈,从实用性出发,考虑到基层林业工作者易理解和掌握,并直观结合干旱河谷区植被性状、土壤质地和石砾含量,土壤的水分和肥沃度、以及阴、阳坡等立地因子,对该区立地类型进行科学划分,共分为8个立地类型:阴坡湿润肥沃——高灌型,阳坡潮润亚肥沃——高灌型,阴坡潮润亚贫瘠——矮灌型,阳坡干燥亚贫瘠——矮灌型阴坡,潮涧亚贫瘠——半灌型,阳坡干燥贫瘠——半灌型,阴坡干燥贫瘠——丘状半灌型,险坡、裸岩、洪积滩——封山育草类型,同时拟定各立地类型植被恢复关键技术,利于基层林业单位科学有效的实现该区的治理和生态植被恢复。
