林庚通过自我选择,实现精神上的“二重”解放,走上新诗自由创造的起点,并找到了新诗现代性追求与皈依传统的契合之路。他诗歌“独行其事”、“不易解”的根源,在于倾向晚唐诗的自然与幽深。因接近于李商隐的象征,他的诗有了表现上的更多自由,注重传达内在感觉,富有象征的“神秘趣味”。他坚持与世界上寻觅艺术主潮的人士共同投身于探寻的行列,认为“不应当在人家还正在未可知的摸索着的时候,便已经开始模仿了”。林庚用创作实践与理论探求的极大努力,为新诗“唤起一种真正的创造精神”。
Through self-selection, Lin Geng realizes the spiritual “double ” liberation, embarks on the starting point of free creation of new poetry, and finds the fit of the modern poetry pursuit and conversion tradition. His poetry “the only act ”, “not easy solution ” the root of lies in the late Tang poetry natural and deep. Because of his closeness to the symbol of Li Shangyin, his poem has more freedom of expression, focusing on the “mysterious taste” that conveys the inner feeling and symbolism. He insists on joining the world in search of the tide of the arts, and believes that “people should not imitate” when they are still trying to find out. Lin Geng with creative practice and theory to explore great efforts for the new poem “to evoke a true creative spirit.”
