中国科技开发院是经国家编委批准,国家科委、广东省政府、深圳市政府联合创办的官助民营事业单位,1992年4月正式成立,院部设存深圳市。国家科委常务副主任李绪鄂兼任院长。一、性质和宗旨性质:中国科技开发院珠海分院是中国科技开发院直接领导下的官助民营事业单位,实行企业化管理。宗旨:把大陆科技人才众多、科技成果丰硕的优势与珠海市毗邻港澳、接近东南亚和享受特区优惠政策的优势,同港澳地区的金融、贸易、信息等方面的优势结合起来,为港澳、东南亚地区和珠江三角洲地区采用高新技术、开发新产品和调整产业结构提供科技支撑,从而为港澳地区的繁荣与稳定、珠江三角洲地区经济技术的发展,为促进我国科技成果的商品化、产业化和国际化作出贡献。
