Facing the demand of industries such as land resources and so on, taking the characteristics and advantages of school geosciences as a starting point, this paper discusses the talent training mode of earth information science and technology under the excellence plan. It mainly discusses the necessity of training excellent engineers, training objectives, Training programs, implementation difficulties and countermeasures were discussed.
