当代美国作家路易丝厄德里克(Louise Erdrich 1954—)被誉为印第安文艺复兴第二次浪潮的主要代表,继2010年的《捉影游戏》(Shadow Tag)后,于2012年又推出新作长篇小说《圆屋》(The Round House),该小说发表后受到读者普遍好评,并一举获得当年美国国家图书奖。《波士顿环球报》称此作为厄德里克迄今为止“最好的小说之一,它紧凑、悬疑且有道德内涵”。《洛杉矶时报》称赞该小说堪比“一顿饕餮盛宴”。
Contemporary American writer Louise Erdrich (1954-) is reputed to be the main representative of the second wave of Indian Renaissance. Following the 2010 “Shadow Tag” The Round House, which was widely praised by readers and won the National Book Award of the Year. The Boston Globe calls this one of the best novels by Erdek so far, “compact, suspenseful and moral.” The Los Angeles Times praised the novel as “a gluttonous feast.”
