The teaching reform, which takes the advanced teaching experience of the Soviet Union as the main content, is being carried out at all colleges and universities across the country. This teaching reform is absolutely necessary. The large-scale construction in our country based on economic construction requires a sufficient number of fully qualified and qualified scientists in science and technology. The task of colleges and universities is to train such personnel. Institutions of higher education must seriously reform the old teaching system, teaching contents and teaching methods so as to meet the actual needs of the present. Otherwise, such a major task can not be shouldered. We have to learn the Soviet experience in the teaching reform because the road the Soviet Union has gone is the way we want to go because the Soviet science and technology are the most advanced in the world and our new factories and new mines are to follow the Soviet Union’s Technical standards to build. The science and technology personnel that we need most must have the most up-to-date science and technology, and the advanced teaching experience of the Soviet Union provides us with a vivid example of training such talents. The situation in colleges and universities in Beijing and Tianjin shows that after the reform of ideology and the adjustment of faculties, the appearance of schools has undergone significant changes when they begin to study advanced Soviet experience and try out new teaching plans. All schools have set up various specialties according to the needs of national construction. With a clear teaching goal, the old “general education” has begun to be transformed into a new specialized education. most
