现代化从其发端时起就与市场经济密切联系在一起.然而,市场经济究竟会对现代化产生哪些积极影响,对于这个问题的研究,国内学术界主要侧重在市场经济对现代化的核心的影响上,即对经济现代化或工业化的影响,而关于市场经济对政治与社会的现代化的影响方面的研究,则尚未深入。众所周知,现代化是一个全面的社会变革过程。如果经济的、政治的和社会的现代化相互脱节,那么现代化的成果就会是局部的和有限的,所以研究市场经济对现代化的积极影响,不但应研究市场经济对经济现代化的促进作用,而且应研究市场经济是如何促进与现代化相衔接的政治和社会的现代化,从而使持续的和全面的现代化得以进行和实现.
