To study the pharmacological effects of sodium taurocholate and sodium taurochenodeoxycholate. Methods: Concentrated ammonia coughing method, phenol red excretion method, mouse ear swelling, and rat paw edema were used to observe the effect of sodium taurocholate and taurochenodeoxycholic acid antitussive and antitussive after animal administration. And anti-inflammatory effects. Results: Sodium taurocholate and taurochenodeoxycholic acid sodium can significantly inhibit the cough induced by ammonia-stimulating mice, prolong the incubation period of cough, promote the secretion of respiratory tract in mice, increase the excretion of phenol red, and inhibit xylene-induced mouse ears. Swelling and foot swelling in rats caused by carrageenan. Conclusion: Sodium taurocholate and sodium taurodeoxycholate have obvious antitussive, expectorant and anti-inflammatory effects. It is speculated that they are one of the main active ingredients in snake bile and chicken bile.
