Objective To explore the significance of the Maze test on the evaluation of flight capability and the factors that affect the performance of the mission, and provide technical indicators for pilot selection research. Methods A total of 109 active new pilots and grade fighter jets, transport bomber pilots, completed the Maze test and multi-target system evaluation of flight skill levels. Results ①The average response time of Maze test was significantly correlated with target F5 (ground target discriminant ability), especially under the control of 3 factors. ②The correlation between F-fighter and bomber pilot’s accuracy in unit time (RAT) There was a significant difference between the two groups. There was a significant difference in the number of correct responses (RIG) between pilots of undergraduate degree and that of junior college degree pilots. There was a significant difference in RIG between pilots of different age groups. Conclusion The Maze test is an effective indicator to evaluate the pilot’s ground target discrimination ability. The pilots of different types, ages and qualifications have different degrees of discrepancy in this task.
