成都市幅员1.2万平方公里,人口1125万。2007年6月与重庆市同时被国务院批准为全国统筹城乡综合配套改革试验区。2008年成都虽遇“5·12”特大地震,但在统筹城乡实现科学发展、建设和谐社会上步伐坚实,走出了一条具有成都特色的城乡一体化发展之路。
Chengdu covers an area of 12,000 square kilometers and a population of 11.25 million. In June 2007, it was also approved by the State Council as a pilot area for the comprehensive reform of urban and rural areas in Chongqing. Despite the “5 · 12” earthquakes in Chengdu in 2008, Chengdu took a solid step toward the integration of urban and rural areas in achieving scientific development and building a harmonious society, and embarked on a road of integrated urban and rural development featuring Chengdu.
