Two new phenolic glycosides, 3, 4-dihydroxy-allylbenzene-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→6)β-D-glucopyranoside (1) and 3, 4-dihydroxy-allylbenzene-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→2) b -D-glucopyranoside (2), were isolated from the barks of Magnolia rostrata. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods, specially 2D NMR techniques.
