每每见到一些法官“落马”的报道,我就很为这些法官感到惋惜。法官“落马”原因是多方面的,但交友不慎、误入歧途是其中的重要原因。我在美国学习、考察时,经常和一些当地的法官交谈,由于英美法系的法官很多由成功的律师转任,因此,我常常问这样一个问题:“你担任法官后,和以前的律师朋友如何相处?”他们大多回答,即使是再好的律师朋友,受职责所限,也只能疏远。我想,这就是选择做法官的代价,必须与朋友保持适当距离,而不能在一起灯红酒绿,甚至互相请托
I often feel sorry for these judges whenever I meet with some judges. Judges “stuttering ” for many reasons, but make friends, go astray is one of the important reasons. When I was studying in the United States, I often talked to some local judges. Since many of the Anglo-American legal judges are transferred from successful lawyers, I often ask the question: “After you became a judge, you worked with a former lawyer How do friends get along? ”Most of them answered that even a good lawyer and friend, limited by their duties, can only be estranged. I think this is the price of choosing to be a judge. We must maintain a proper distance with our friends and can not be together, or even ask each other
