已研究出一个表示连铸机中间包内的湍流流动和混合的数字模型,该模型包括求解三维的湍流的纳维——斯托克斯方程叫做 k—ε=方程的湍流模型。对矩形断面的中间包的流动参数和流体停留时间作出了预报,以后又用这一模型去预报一般工业用的中间包的流场,这种中间包的侧墙是稍有倾斜的而不是垂直的,结果表明:流场起了变化,这一点也可能对工业上的应用产生重大影响。把理论上的预报结果与水模型中的测量值作了比较。对中间包内流场的了解也是设计最佳化的依据。
A numerical model for turbulent flow and mixing in a caster tundish has been developed that includes a turbulence model called the k-ε = equation for a Navier-Stokes equation solving three-dimensional turbulence. The flow parameters and fluid residence time of the rectangular tundish are predicted, and later the model is used to predict the flow field of a typical industrial tundish whose sidewalls are slightly slanted rather than vertical The results show that the flow field has changed, which may also have a significant impact on industrial applications. The theoretical prediction results are compared with the measurements in the water model. Knowledge of the flow field within the tundish is also the basis for design optimization.
