农作物叶片面积的测定方法,国内多有介绍。但是,象“方格纸测量法”、“比重测量法”、“容重测量法”等,不仅费工,而且均需离体(即将叶片从植株上摘下)测量。光电求积仪测量叶面积较为省工,可是要求叶片必须舒展,一但发皱重叠,测量误差也很大;同时也必需离体测量。此外,利用叶片长度同最大宽度的乘积的相关测定方法,虽适用于某些作物(如禾本科作物及甜菜等),也因量其最大宽度难以掌握而带来较大偏差。对于象荞麦这类作物的叶片多呈箭形和戟形,更不宜用此法测量。
