在电视新闻报道中,每当出现警事题材类新闻,受众就会倍加关注,其收视率会有明显上升。从中央电视台、省台到市县台,新闻记者往往都愿意和警方合作,力求获取更多更快更新鲜的警事新闻。警事新闻所产生的社会影响可谓是双刃剑:报道得好,有助于警戒世人,扬善惩恶,弘扬正气;报道得不好,就会扰乱人心,干扰稳定,侵犯隐私,甚至泄露公安侦察办案秘密,造成严重负面影响。因而警事新闻是对记者综合素质的检阅。
