“独柳树”是唐代在京城处死政治要犯的一个刑场，它原本是长在这个刑场中的一棵树，由于有此树而后经过约定俗成，逐渐地变为了地名。“独柳树”的具体地点应在皇城内侧的西南角上。
The “Willow Tree” is a torture court in Tang Dynasty that executed political prisoners in the capital. Originally, it was a tree growing in this execution ground. Due to this tree, it was gradually changed to a place name. The specific location of “Willow Tree” should be on the southwest corner of the Imperial City.
