蒋梦麟,著名教育家、社会活动家,当过北大校长,主持过中国红十字会、中国教育基金董事会、中国农村复兴联合会。蒋梦麟于1886年1月20日生于浙江省余姚县兰风乡老蒋村。这块“南列峰峦叠翠四明山、北临海天一色杭州湾”的风水宝地,其深厚的文化底蕴和学术传统造就了诸多名家大儒。注重独立思考讲求事功的阳明学派与主张经世致用崇尚实学的浙东学派成了蒋梦麟思想学术的肥沃土壤,但追根溯源,对他起决定作用的是父亲。正直饱学的父亲宽厚为民的胸怀,热忱公益事业的赤心,成为儿子终其一生的奋斗方向与精神脊梁。
Jiang Menglin, a famous educator and social activist, served as president of Peking University, presided over the China Red Cross, China Education Fund Board, and China Rural Rehabilitation Association. Jiang Menglin was born on January 20, 1886 in Laojiang Village, Lanfeng Township, Yuyao County, Zhejiang Province. This piece of “Nanliu Pinnacle Siming Mountain peaks, sea and sky blue Hangzhou Bay,” the feng shui treasure, its profound cultural heritage and academic tradition created a lot of famous Confucianism. The Yangming School, which emphasizes independent thinking and stressing on the merits, and the Zhe Dong School, which advocates the use of the realist advocacy of the real economy, have become fertile soil for Jiang Menglin’s academic thought.
