This paper studies the stress analysis problem of flanged stiffener ribbed thin plates. The term “flange stiffeners” as used herein refers to the use of steel members or rods of any shape in cross-section, stiffening members which are consolidated along the periphery of the holes on both sides of the sheet. Two external load scenarios are discussed in this paper. One is the stress components σ_X~(∞), σ_Y~(∞) and τ_(XY)~(∞) acting at infinity points of the sheet; the other is a linear distribution.
