An essay in 2003 selected me two short essays. Surprisingly, the editors put my name in the preface and classified me as “perhaps not very ambitious in their own right”. in. I do not know the editor, I do not know what clues he came to this conclusion, actually buried my heart but has been afraid to make a public statement, on behalf of me. - Yes, I really do not want to “work with essayists.” To be accurate, I do not want to be more involved with such essays than “essays”, rather than resenting essayists. The honor of essays is inextricably linked with Mr. Lu Xun’s outstanding contribution. We are not only proud to regard Mr. Lu Xun as the pioneer of modern Chinese essays, but also generally think that Mr. Lu Xun’s achievements in essays are unparalleled. For the avoidance of excesses, I will not disagree with this for the time being, but I still want to point out that the stylistic standard set by the extraordinary Mr. Lu Xun has a very high threshold and is itself not suitable for imitation
